Ingredients
- 6 chicken legs (drumsticks)
- 1 1/2 cups long grain white rice
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season chicken legs with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and thyme.
- In a large oven-safe baking dish, spread rice evenly and top with chopped onion and garlic.
- Pour chicken broth over the rice mixture.
- Place the seasoned chicken legs on top of the rice.
- Drizzle olive oil over the chicken for crispiness.
- Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake an additional 15-20 minutes, or until chicken is browned and rice is cooked through.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
