Baked Shrimp Toast is a crispy, creamy appetizer featuring seasoned shrimp spread on baguette slices, then baked until golden. Perfect for parties, game days, or as a unique seafood starter.
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp ground white pepper
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 small baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch pieces
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley or sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Finely chop shrimp into a paste-like consistency or pulse in a food processor.
- In a bowl, mix chopped shrimp with mayonnaise, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, white pepper, and cheese until well combined.
- Spread a generous spoonful of shrimp mixture onto each baguette slice.
- Place slices on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
- Optional: broil for 1–2 minutes at the end for extra crispiness.
- Garnish with parsley or sesame seeds and serve warm.
Notes
- Use cooked shrimp if preferred, but reduce bake time slightly.
- Top with chili flakes or sriracha for a spicy kick.
- Can be prepped ahead and baked just before serving.
