Description

Baked Shrimp Toast is a crispy, creamy appetizer featuring seasoned shrimp spread on baguette slices, then baked until golden. Perfect for parties, game days, or as a unique seafood starter.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 tsp ground white pepper
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 small baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley or sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Finely chop shrimp into a paste-like consistency or pulse in a food processor.
  3. In a bowl, mix chopped shrimp with mayonnaise, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, white pepper, and cheese until well combined.
  4. Spread a generous spoonful of shrimp mixture onto each baguette slice.
  5. Place slices on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
  6. Optional: broil for 1–2 minutes at the end for extra crispiness.
  7. Garnish with parsley or sesame seeds and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use cooked shrimp if preferred, but reduce bake time slightly.
  • Top with chili flakes or sriracha for a spicy kick.
  • Can be prepped ahead and baked just before serving.
