- 8 oz lo mein noodles
- 1/2 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce (for marinating)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup sliced carrots
- 1/2 cup bell pepper, sliced
- 3 green onions, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced
- 3 tbsp soy sauce (for sauce)
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- Cook lo mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, combine sliced beef with 2 tbsp soy sauce and cornstarch. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
- Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add beef and stir-fry until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Add remaining oil to the skillet. Stir-fry garlic, ginger, broccoli, carrots, and bell pepper for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and water to make the sauce.
- Return beef to the skillet. Add cooked noodles and sauce. Toss everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.

- Slice beef thinly against the grain for tenderness.
- Substitute vegetables as desired (e.g., snap peas, mushrooms).
- Use low-sodium soy sauce to reduce salt content.
