Description

A delicious Taco Bell copycat grilled cheese burrito packed with seasoned beef, rice, cheese, and creamy sauces, all wrapped in a warm tortilla and grilled to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1/2 cup nacho cheese sauce
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup chipotle sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup tortilla strips (optional)
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 tbsp butter (for grilling)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add taco seasoning and water to the beef. Simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
  3. Warm the tortillas slightly to make them more pliable.
  4. Spread nacho cheese sauce in the center of each tortilla.
  5. Add a layer of rice, seasoned beef, sour cream, chipotle sauce, tortilla strips (if using), and shredded cheese.
  6. Fold the tortillas into burritos by folding in the sides and rolling tightly.
  7. Heat butter in a clean skillet over medium heat.
  8. Place the burritos seam-side down in the skillet and grill until golden brown and the cheese on the outside is melted and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  9. Remove and serve hot with extra sauce if desired.

Notes

  • Use a mix of cheddar and mozzarella for the best melt and flavor.
  • Add jalapeños or hot sauce for extra heat.
  • Use a panini press for even grilling if available.
