Description

A fun, layered patriotic cocktail inspired by the classic Bomb Pop popsicle—featuring vibrant red, white, and blue flavors with refreshing citrus, sweet berries, and cooling mint.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz vodka
  • 1 oz blue curaçao
  • 1 oz cranberry juice
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • 23 fresh blueberries (for garnish)
  • 1 small wedge lime (for garnish)
  • Splash club soda or lemon‑lime soda
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint sprig (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Fill a tall glass with ice.
  2. Pour vodka over the ice.
  3. Carefully layer cranberry juice by pouring slowly over the back of a spoon to create a red bottom.
  4. Add lime juice and simple syrup, stirring gently.
  5. Top with blue curaçao, again pouring slowly to maintain layers.
  6. Add a splash of club soda or lemon‑lime soda for fizz.
  7. Garnish with blueberries, a lime wedge, and a mint sprig if desired.
  8. Serve immediately with a straw, allowing the drinker to gently stir and enjoy the gradient colors as they sip.

Notes

  • For a non‑alcoholic version, replace vodka with white grape juice or coconut water and use blue sports drink instead of blue curaçao.
  • To intensify layers, chill all ingredients before assembling and pour slowly over an ice‑filled spoon.
  • Use flavored simple syrups (like strawberry or raspberry) for deeper berry notes.
  • Rim the glass with sugar or colored sanding sugar for extra flair.
  • Double or triple the recipe for pitchers—add ice only when serving to preserve layering.
