Ingredients
- 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the broccoli florets, red onion, dried cranberries, sunflower seeds, bacon, and cheddar cheese.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper to make the dressing.
- Pour the dressing over the broccoli mixture and toss until everything is evenly coated.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.
- Stir again before serving and adjust seasoning if needed.
Notes
- You can substitute Greek yogurt for half the mayonnaise for a lighter version.
- Letting the salad chill helps improve flavor and texture.
- For a vegetarian version, omit the bacon or use a plant-based alternative.
