Description

A fresh, crunchy, and creamy broccoli salad with a sweet and tangy dressing, perfect for potlucks and picnics.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the broccoli florets, red onion, dried cranberries, sunflower seeds, bacon, and cheddar cheese.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper to make the dressing.
  3. Pour the dressing over the broccoli mixture and toss until everything is evenly coated.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Stir again before serving and adjust seasoning if needed.

Notes

  • You can substitute Greek yogurt for half the mayonnaise for a lighter version.
  • Letting the salad chill helps improve flavor and texture.
  • For a vegetarian version, omit the bacon or use a plant-based alternative.
