Description
A delicious frozen dessert layered with crushed Oreos, creamy ice cream, rich chocolate fudge, and peanuts, inspired by the Dairy Queen classic.
Ingredients
- 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies, crushed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream, softened
- 1 1/2 cups salted peanuts
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2/3 cup evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix crushed Oreos with melted butter and press into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Freeze for 15 minutes.
- Spread softened vanilla ice cream evenly over the crust. Sprinkle peanuts over the ice cream layer and return to freezer for 30 minutes.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine chocolate chips, evaporated milk, powdered sugar, and butter. Stir continuously until smooth and thickened, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Let cool to room temperature.
- Pour cooled chocolate fudge over the peanut layer and spread evenly. Freeze for at least 4 hours or until fully set.
- Cut into bars and serve frozen.
Notes
- You can substitute other types of nuts if desired.
- Use a springform pan for a round presentation.
- Let the fudge cool completely before pouring to avoid melting the ice cream.
