Description
Cakesicles are a fun twist on traditional cake pops, made by combining crumbled cake with frosting, shaping them in popsicle molds, and coating them in chocolate for a colorful, handheld treat.
Ingredients
- 2 cups crumbled cake (any flavor)
- 1/2 cup frosting (buttercream or cream cheese)
- 2 cups melting chocolate (white, milk, or dark)
- Sprinkles or decorations (optional)
- Food coloring (optional, for chocolate)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the crumbled cake with frosting until it holds together like dough.
- Press the mixture into silicone popsicle molds, insert popsicle sticks, and freeze for 1 hour.
- Melt the chocolate according to package instructions, adding food coloring if desired.
- Remove cakesicles from the molds and dip them into the melted chocolate to coat evenly.
- Place on parchment paper and decorate with sprinkles or drizzle more chocolate on top.
- Let them set completely at room temperature or in the fridge.
Notes
- You can use store-bought or homemade cake and frosting.
- Allow cakesicles to come to room temperature slightly before dipping to avoid cracks.
- Decorate with edible glitter, colored drizzle, or themed sprinkles for special occasions.
