Description

Rich, fudgy brownies swirled with gooey caramel and packed with chocolate chips for the ultimate indulgent treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Drizzle caramel sauce over the batter layer.
  8. Spread the remaining brownie batter on top, smoothing the surface.
  9. Drizzle additional caramel on top and use a knife to swirl it through the batter.
  10. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
  11. Allow brownies to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • For cleaner cuts, chill brownies before slicing.
  • You can use store-bought or homemade caramel sauce.
