A delicious fusion of a classic cheeseburger and a quesadilla, this Cheeseburger Quesadilla is packed with seasoned ground beef, melty cheese, and all your favorite burger fixings folded into a crispy tortilla.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp mustard
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup diced onions
- 1/4 cup diced pickles
- 1 tbsp butter or oil (for cooking)
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Season the beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir in ketchup and mustard. Cook for another 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Heat a clean skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or oil.
- Place a tortilla on the skillet, sprinkle half with cheese, then add a portion of the beef mixture, onions, and pickles. Top with more cheese and fold the tortilla in half.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling.
- Slice into wedges and serve warm.
