Description

Cherry Yum Yum is a classic Southern dessert made with layers of graham cracker crust, creamy cheesecake filling, and sweet cherry pie topping. It’s easy to prepare and perfect for potlucks or holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until well combined. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of a 9×9-inch dish.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract and beat until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
  4. Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the graham cracker crust.
  5. Spread the cherry pie filling evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  6. Spread the remaining cream cheese mixture over the cherries.
  7. Top with the remaining graham cracker mixture.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.

Notes

  • Use full-fat cream cheese for the best texture.
  • You can substitute whipped topping for homemade whipped cream if desired.
  • Chill thoroughly to allow the dessert to set properly.
