Description

A comforting and hearty casserole made with tender chicken, broccoli, rice, and a creamy cheese sauce, perfect for a family dinner.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 2 cups broccoli florets, steamed
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional for topping)
  • 1 tbsp butter (for breadcrumb topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, steamed broccoli, cooked rice, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stir in half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Top with the remaining shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. If using breadcrumbs, mix them with melted butter and sprinkle over the top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the casserole is bubbly and the top is golden.
  8. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for quick prep.
  • Substitute brown rice for a whole grain option.
  • Can be made ahead and refrigerated before baking.
