Description
A hearty and comforting chicken casserole made with tender chicken, vegetables, and a creamy sauce, baked to perfection.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup crushed Ritz crackers
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add shredded chicken, mixed vegetables, and half of the cheese. Mix well.
- Pour mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Top with remaining cheese.
- In a small bowl, mix crushed Ritz crackers with melted butter. Sprinkle evenly over the casserole.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
- Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use rotisserie chicken for a quick shortcut.
- You can substitute the cream of chicken soup with a homemade white sauce.
- Add herbs like thyme or parsley for extra flavor.
