Description

A hearty and comforting chicken casserole made with tender chicken, vegetables, and a creamy sauce, baked to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup crushed Ritz crackers
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add shredded chicken, mixed vegetables, and half of the cheese. Mix well.
  4. Pour mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Top with remaining cheese.
  6. In a small bowl, mix crushed Ritz crackers with melted butter. Sprinkle evenly over the casserole.
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
  8. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for a quick shortcut.
  • You can substitute the cream of chicken soup with a homemade white sauce.
  • Add herbs like thyme or parsley for extra flavor.
