- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp light corn syrup or honey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Assorted dippers (strawberries, bananas, marshmallows, pretzels, pound cake cubes)
Instructions
- Chop the chocolate into small, even pieces and place in a heatproof bowl.
- In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream, butter, and corn syrup over medium heat until it just begins to simmer.
- Pour the hot cream mixture over the chopped chocolate and let it sit for 1–2 minutes.
- Gently stir until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth and glossy.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and pinch of salt, blending well.
- Transfer the chocolate mixture to a fondue pot with low heat or a serving bowl kept warm.
- Arrange your dippers on a platter and begin dipping—enjoy immediately!
Notes
- For a thinner fondue, add a splash more warm cream.
- Use dark chocolate for a more intense flavor, or milk chocolate for sweeter fondue.
- Keep fondue warm over a tealight or low burner to maintain dipping consistency.
- Leftover fondue can be refrigerated and gently reheated with a little cream.
- For variation, add a splash of liqueur such as Grand Marnier, Bailey’s, or rum.
