Description

A rich and creamy chocolate fondue perfect for dipping fruit, marshmallows, and more, ideal for parties or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp light corn syrup or honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Assorted dippers (strawberries, bananas, marshmallows, pretzels, pound cake cubes)

Instructions

  1. Chop the chocolate into small, even pieces and place in a heatproof bowl.
  2. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream, butter, and corn syrup over medium heat until it just begins to simmer.
  3. Pour the hot cream mixture over the chopped chocolate and let it sit for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Gently stir until the chocolate is fully melted and the mixture is smooth and glossy.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract and pinch of salt, blending well.
  6. Transfer the chocolate mixture to a fondue pot with low heat or a serving bowl kept warm.
  7. Arrange your dippers on a platter and begin dipping—enjoy immediately!

Notes

  • For a thinner fondue, add a splash more warm cream.
  • Use dark chocolate for a more intense flavor, or milk chocolate for sweeter fondue.
  • Keep fondue warm over a tealight or low burner to maintain dipping consistency.
  • Leftover fondue can be refrigerated and gently reheated with a little cream.
  • For variation, add a splash of liqueur such as Grand Marnier, Bailey’s, or rum.
