Description

Chocolate fondue is a rich and indulgent treat perfect for sharing on any occasion. Melted chocolate served with a variety of dippable treats like fruits, marshmallows, and cookies makes it a fun and delicious experience.

Ingredients

  • 200g dark chocolate
  • 100g milk chocolate
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Assorted dippable items: fruits (strawberries, banana slices, apple slices), marshmallows, cubes of pound cake, pretzels, cookies

Instructions

  1. Chop the chocolate into small pieces for easy melting.
  2. In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it starts to simmer (don’t boil).
  3. Add the chopped chocolate to the cream and stir continuously until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract and a pinch of salt for extra flavor.
  5. Pour the melted chocolate into a fondue pot or heatproof bowl to keep warm.
  6. Serve with assorted dippable items like fruits, marshmallows, cake cubes, and cookies.

Notes

  • You can use any combination of dark and milk chocolate based on your preference for sweetness.
  • For a smoother texture, add more cream to reach your desired consistency.
  • If you don’t have a fondue pot, you can serve the chocolate in a heatproof bowl and reheat it in the microwave if it cools down.
  • Experiment with different dipping options based on seasonal fruits or your favorite treats!
