Description

A rich and flavorful dish with tender chicken breasts smothered in a creamy garlic sauce, perfect for a comforting dinner.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. Cook chicken breasts in the skillet for about 6-7 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add chicken broth, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  6. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, thyme, and basil. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for about 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Return the chicken breasts to the skillet and simmer in the sauce for another 5 minutes to coat the chicken.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, you can substitute half-and-half for the heavy cream.
  • Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms to the sauce for extra flavor.
  • Ensure the chicken is fully cooked before serving (internal temperature should be 165°F or 75°C).
