Description

Classic banana bread is a moist, sweet loaf made with ripe bananas, offering a comforting treat perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
  4. Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  5. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir to combine.
  6. Add the flour and stir until just incorporated.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Use overripe bananas for the best flavor and sweetness.
  • You can add nuts or chocolate chips for extra texture and flavor.
  • Store leftover banana bread in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature.
