Description
Crispy Air Fryer Cod is a light and flaky fish recipe with a perfectly seasoned and crunchy coating, made easily and quickly in the air fryer.
Ingredients
- 1 lb cod fillets
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Cooking spray or olive oil spray
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
- Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels and cut into desired portion sizes if needed.
- Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Dip each cod fillet into the flour, then the egg, then coat with the seasoned panko breadcrumbs.
- Spray both sides of the breaded cod with cooking spray or olive oil spray.
- Place the cod fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, working in batches if necessary.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145°F or 63°C).
- Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce or a side of vegetables.
