Description

Crispy Chicken Tenders are golden-brown, juicy strips of chicken coated in a seasoned breadcrumb mixture and fried to perfection. Perfect as a snack or main course.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken tenders
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • Vegetable oil for frying


Instructions

  1. Place chicken tenders in a bowl and cover with buttermilk. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a shallow dish, mix flour with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another dish, beat the eggs.
  4. In a third dish, place the breadcrumbs.
  5. Remove chicken from buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off.
  6. Dredge chicken in the seasoned flour, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  7. Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Fry chicken tenders in batches for 4-5 minutes, or until golden and cooked through.
  9. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, use panko breadcrumbs.
  • You can bake the tenders at 400°F for 20 minutes as a healthier option.
  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce like honey mustard or ranch.
