Description
Classic deviled eggs made with hard-boiled eggs, mayonnaise, mustard, and seasonings. A perfect appetizer or party snack.
Ingredients
- 6 large eggs
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon white vinegar
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Smoked paprika, for garnish
Instructions
- Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then cover, remove from heat, and let sit for 12 minutes.
- Drain and cool the eggs under cold running water. Peel the eggs.
- Slice eggs in half lengthwise, and remove yolks to a bowl. Mash yolks with a fork.
- Add mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper to the yolks. Mix until smooth.
- Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
- Sprinkle with smoked paprika before serving.
Notes
- Use older eggs for easier peeling.
- Chill the deviled eggs before serving for better flavor.
- You can add a dash of hot sauce for extra kick.
