Description

DIY Peppermint Candy Spoons are a festive and fun treat perfect for stirring hot chocolate or gifting during the holidays. Made by melting peppermint candies into spoon molds, they’re easy to make and add a sweet peppermint twist to any drink.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag (about 12 oz) peppermint hard candies or candy canes
  • Nonstick cooking spray or oil (for greasing molds)
  • Optional: chocolate for dipping, sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Lightly grease silicone spoon molds with nonstick spray or oil.
  3. Unwrap peppermint candies and place them into the spoon molds, breaking candies as needed to fit.
  4. Place the mold on a baking sheet and bake for 5–8 minutes, or until candies are melted and fill the molds.
  5. Remove from oven and let cool completely before carefully removing from molds.
  6. Optional: Dip handles in melted chocolate and decorate with sprinkles. Let set completely before packaging or serving.

Notes

  • Work quickly when candies come out of the oven, as they harden fast.
  • Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
  • Great as holiday gifts paired with a mug and hot cocoa mix.
