Description

Easy Baked Ziti is a simple, cheesy, and comforting Italian-American pasta dish. It’s made with ziti pasta, marinara sauce, ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese, baked to perfection for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ziti pasta
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add the cooked ziti pasta to the cheese mixture and stir until well combined.
  5. Spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  6. Add the pasta mixture to the dish and spread evenly.
  7. Top with the remaining marinara sauce, and sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can add cooked ground beef or sausage to the pasta mixture for added protein.
  • For a vegetarian option, ensure your marinara sauce is meat-free.
  • Feel free to add fresh basil or parsley for garnish.
