Easy Baked Ziti is a simple, cheesy, and comforting Italian-American pasta dish. It’s made with ziti pasta, marinara sauce, ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese, baked to perfection for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ziti pasta
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add the cooked ziti pasta to the cheese mixture and stir until well combined.
- Spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Add the pasta mixture to the dish and spread evenly.
- Top with the remaining marinara sauce, and sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can add cooked ground beef or sausage to the pasta mixture for added protein.
- For a vegetarian option, ensure your marinara sauce is meat-free.
- Feel free to add fresh basil or parsley for garnish.
