- 2 cups brewed black coffee (hot)
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 2 teaspoons unflavored gelatin powder
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- Whipped cream or sweetened condensed milk (for serving)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
- Meanwhile, add sugar to the hot coffee and stir until dissolved.
- After blooming, stir the gelatin mixture into the hot sweetened coffee until completely dissolved.
- Pour the mixture into a square dish, bowl, or individual cups and let cool to room temperature.
- Refrigerate for at least 2–3 hours, or until fully set.
- Cut into cubes if set in a dish, or serve as-is from cups. Top with whipped cream or drizzle with condensed milk before serving.
Notes
- Use strong brewed coffee or espresso for a more intense flavor.
- Adjust sweetness based on preference or use flavored syrups.
- Can be made dairy-free by using coconut whipped cream or almond milk topping.
