- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions, bell peppers, and garlic. Cook until vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Mix in the cream cheese and sour cream until well combined and creamy.
- Transfer the beef mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and heavy cream. Pour over the beef mixture.
- Top with shredded mozzarella and provolone cheese.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute ground beef with thinly sliced steak for a more authentic Philly flavor.
- Add mushrooms for extra depth of flavor.
- Use a mix of provolone and mozzarella for a gooey cheese topping.
