Description

A light, no‑bake, crowd‑pleasing dessert with layers of angel food cake, cheesecake‑flavored pudding and mixed berries.


Ingredients

  • 2 (3.4 oz) packets instant cheesecake‑flavored pudding mix
  • 4 cups (960 ml) milk
  •  cups (360 ml) heavy whipping cream, cold
  • ¾ cup (86 g) powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Approximately 12 oz angel food cake, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup chopped strawberries
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • Extra berries for decorating


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk pudding mix and milk for about 2 minutes. Set aside.
  2. In another bowl, whip cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla on high until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
  3. Layer half of the cake cubes in a trifle bowl.
  4. Spread half of the prepared pudding over the cake.
  5. Add half of the berries.
  6. Top with half of the whipped cream mixture.
  7. Repeat layers with remaining cake, pudding, berries, and whipped cream.
  8. Decorate top with extra berries.
  9. Chill in refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

  • Can use vanilla instead of cheesecake‑flavored pudding.
  • Pound cake or store‑bought yellow cake can substitute angel food cake.
  • Make ahead and refrigerate up to 24 hours—great for parties.
