Description
A light, no‑bake, crowd‑pleasing dessert with layers of angel food cake, cheesecake‑flavored pudding and mixed berries.
Ingredients
- 2 (3.4 oz) packets instant cheesecake‑flavored pudding mix
- 4 cups (960 ml) milk
- 1½ cups (360 ml) heavy whipping cream, cold
- ¾ cup (86 g) powdered sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- Approximately 12 oz angel food cake, cut into cubes
- 1 cup chopped strawberries
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1 cup raspberries
- Extra berries for decorating
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk pudding mix and milk for about 2 minutes. Set aside.
- In another bowl, whip cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla on high until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
- Layer half of the cake cubes in a trifle bowl.
- Spread half of the prepared pudding over the cake.
- Add half of the berries.
- Top with half of the whipped cream mixture.
- Repeat layers with remaining cake, pudding, berries, and whipped cream.
- Decorate top with extra berries.
- Chill in refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
- Can use vanilla instead of cheesecake‑flavored pudding.
- Pound cake or store‑bought yellow cake can substitute angel food cake.
- Make ahead and refrigerate up to 24 hours—great for parties.
