Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 8 oz fettuccine or pasta of choice
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season chicken pieces with paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter.
- Add chicken pieces and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6–8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and garlic. Sauté for 1 minute.
- Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute, then slowly add heavy cream while stirring.
- Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened, then add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted.
- Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and add to the sauce.
- Return chicken to the skillet and combine with the pasta and sauce.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and red pepper flakes, if using.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- Use boneless, skinless chicken thighs for extra juiciness if desired.
- Add steamed broccoli or spinach for a veggie boost.
- For a lighter sauce, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
