Description
A creamy, flavorful garlic butter chicken pasta made with tender chicken, a rich garlic butter sauce, and pasta. Perfect for a comforting weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 8 oz (225g) pasta (penne or fettuccine preferred)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add diced chicken, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 6-8 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and lightly browned.
- Pour in chicken broth and let simmer for 2-3 minutes to deglaze the pan.
- Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Simmer until the sauce thickens slightly, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve warm.
Notes
- You can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version.
- Use pre-cooked chicken to speed up the cooking process.
- Add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for added nutrition.
