Description

A creamy and flavorful pasta dish featuring tender chicken, garlic, and parmesan cheese, combined into a rich, savory sauce.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and oregano.
  3. Cook the chicken for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside to rest.
  4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and stir to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.
  6. Lower the heat and add the heavy cream, butter, and parmesan cheese. Stir until the sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Slice the cooked chicken into thin strips and add it to the sauce.
  8. Toss the cooked pasta into the sauce, mixing well to coat.
  9. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and additional parmesan if desired.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, you can substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
  • Any type of pasta can be used for this recipe, such as penne or rigatoni.
  • Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for added flavor.
