Description

A savory and crispy baked garlic parmesan chicken dish that’s perfect for a quick dinner. Juicy chicken breasts are coated in a flavorful garlic and parmesan crust for a deliciously cheesy and aromatic meal.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably Panko)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs.
  4. Dip each chicken breast into the eggs, then coat with the breadcrumb-Parmesan mixture. Press the coating onto the chicken to adhere well.
  5. Place the coated chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle olive oil over the top of each piece for extra crispiness.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).
  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for best flavor and texture.
  • For extra crispiness, broil the chicken for 2–3 minutes at the end of baking.
  • You can substitute chicken thighs for a juicier option, adjusting cook time accordingly.
