Description

Savory, spicy-sweet salmon fillets glazed with a sticky gochujang sauce — ready in about 15 minutes, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs salmon fillets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp gochujang paste
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp mirin
  • ½ tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1 stalk green onion, thinly sliced (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 °F (218 °C).
  2. Place salmon skin-side down on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Bake for 7 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, whisk together gochujang, sesame oil, soy sauce, honey, mirin, and ginger in a small bowl.
  5. Remove salmon from oven and brush generously with the glaze.
  6. Switch oven to broil. Broil salmon for 5–7 minutes until glossy and cooked through.
  7. Garnish with green onion slices and serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can cook everything sous‑vide or skillet‑sear then broil for crispy edges.
  • Adjust gochujang for desired heat; add honey if you like it sweeter.
  • Great with rice, steamed veggies, or on a salad.
