Description
Savory, spicy-sweet salmon fillets glazed with a sticky gochujang sauce — ready in about 15 minutes, perfect for weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs salmon fillets
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp gochujang paste
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2 tsp mirin
- ½ tsp grated fresh ginger
- 1 stalk green onion, thinly sliced (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 °F (218 °C).
- Place salmon skin-side down on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Bake for 7 minutes.
- Meanwhile, whisk together gochujang, sesame oil, soy sauce, honey, mirin, and ginger in a small bowl.
- Remove salmon from oven and brush generously with the glaze.
- Switch oven to broil. Broil salmon for 5–7 minutes until glossy and cooked through.
- Garnish with green onion slices and serve immediately.
Notes
- You can cook everything sous‑vide or skillet‑sear then broil for crispy edges.
- Adjust gochujang for desired heat; add honey if you like it sweeter.
- Great with rice, steamed veggies, or on a salad.
