Greek Stuffed Feta Burgers with Tzatziki are juicy ground beef patties filled with creamy feta cheese and Mediterranean herbs, served with a refreshing cucumber-yogurt sauce. A flavorful twist on the classic burger, perfect for grilling season.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 preferred)
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 4 burger buns
- Lettuce, tomato, and red onion slices for serving
- Olive oil for grilling
For the Tzatziki Sauce:
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup grated cucumber, squeezed dry
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill (or 1/2 tsp dried)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, parsley, oregano, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix just until combined.
- Divide meat into 8 equal portions. Flatten each into a thin patty. Place 1 tbsp of crumbled feta in the center of 4 patties, then top with remaining patties and seal edges well to form stuffed burgers.
- Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat and brush with olive oil.
- Grill burgers for 4-5 minutes per side or until fully cooked (internal temp 160°F/71°C).
- While burgers cook, mix tzatziki ingredients in a bowl and chill until ready to use.
- Assemble burgers on buns with lettuce, tomato, red onion, and a generous spoonful of tzatziki sauce.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- Use ground lamb or turkey for variation.
- Tzatziki can be made a day ahead to enhance flavor.
- Stuffed patties can be prepped and refrigerated for a few hours before cooking.
