Description

Greek Stuffed Feta Burgers with Tzatziki are juicy ground beef patties filled with creamy feta cheese and Mediterranean herbs, served with a refreshing cucumber-yogurt sauce. A flavorful twist on the classic burger, perfect for grilling season.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 preferred)
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, and red onion slices for serving
  • Olive oil for grilling

For the Tzatziki Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup grated cucumber, squeezed dry
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill (or 1/2 tsp dried)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, parsley, oregano, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix just until combined.
  2. Divide meat into 8 equal portions. Flatten each into a thin patty. Place 1 tbsp of crumbled feta in the center of 4 patties, then top with remaining patties and seal edges well to form stuffed burgers.
  3. Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat and brush with olive oil.
  4. Grill burgers for 4-5 minutes per side or until fully cooked (internal temp 160°F/71°C).
  5. While burgers cook, mix tzatziki ingredients in a bowl and chill until ready to use.
  6. Assemble burgers on buns with lettuce, tomato, red onion, and a generous spoonful of tzatziki sauce.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use ground lamb or turkey for variation.
  • Tzatziki can be made a day ahead to enhance flavor.
  • Stuffed patties can be prepped and refrigerated for a few hours before cooking.
