Description
These Grilled Steak Tacos are packed with juicy, marinated steak, fresh toppings, and served in warm tortillas for a delicious and satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb flank or skirt steak
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 small corn tortillas
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/2 cup crumbled queso fresco (optional)
- Lime wedges, for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lime juice, garlic, cumin, chili powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Place the steak in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour marinade over it. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, up to 4 hours.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Grill the steak for about 4–5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
- Transfer the steak to a cutting board and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
- Warm the tortillas on the grill for 30 seconds per side.
- Assemble tacos by placing steak slices on tortillas and topping with onion, cilantro, avocado, and queso fresco if using.
- Serve with lime wedges on the side.
Notes
- Marinating the steak longer enhances flavor.
- Use skirt steak for a richer beef flavor.
- Add pickled onions or jalapeños for extra zing.
