Description

Juicy and flavorful grilled turkey burgers that are a healthier alternative to beef burgers, perfect for summer barbecues.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 whole wheat burger buns
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, cheese, condiments

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
  4. Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
  5. Grill the turkey burgers for 5-6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Toast the burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes, if desired.
  7. Assemble the burgers with desired toppings and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the turkey mixture to avoid tough burgers.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure burgers are fully cooked.
  • Add chopped herbs or shredded cheese to the patties for extra flavor.
