A quick and easy take on classic lasagna, this Lazy Lasagna Casserole is perfect for busy weeknights, delivering all the flavor without the layering hassle.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 8 oz rotini or penne pasta
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked; drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta, meat sauce, ricotta cheese, and 1 cup mozzarella cheese. Mix well.
  6. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  7. Top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
