Description
Decadent and fudgy brownies swirled with a rich cream cheese layer and loaded with Oreo cookies for the ultimate dessert indulgence.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for cream cheese layer)
- 1 egg (for cream cheese layer)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for cream cheese layer)
- 12 Oreo cookies, coarsely chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a medium bowl, mix melted butter, 1 cup sugar, eggs, and 1 tsp vanilla until smooth.
- Add cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.
- Pour 2/3 of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 egg, and 1/2 tsp vanilla until smooth and creamy.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter in the pan.
- Dollop the remaining brownie batter on top and swirl gently with a knife to create a marbled effect.
- Sprinkle chopped Oreo cookies evenly over the top.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.
Notes
- For extra crunch, add more chopped Oreos on top halfway through baking.
- Chill the brownies before slicing for cleaner cuts.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
