Description

Marry Me Chicken is a creamy, flavorful chicken dish made with sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, and a rich parmesan cream sauce that’s perfect for romantic dinners or family meals.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes (in oil, drained)
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Fresh basil, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and sear for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
  5. Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until melted and combined.
  6. Add sun-dried tomatoes, oregano, and thyme. Simmer the sauce for 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top. Simmer for another 5 minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot.

Notes

  • Serve with pasta, mashed potatoes, or crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
  • Can be made with chicken thighs for a juicier option.
  • Leftovers keep well in the fridge for up to 3 days.
