Ingredients
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1.5 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 0.5 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Pour the heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt into a 16 oz mason jar.
- Tightly seal the lid and shake vigorously for about 4-5 minutes, until the mixture thickens and roughly doubles in volume.
- Place the jar in the freezer and let it freeze for at least 3-4 hours, or until firm.
- Once frozen, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping.
- Serve and enjoy your homemade mason jar ice cream!
Notes
- You can add mix-ins like chocolate chips, crushed cookies, or fruit before freezing.
- Shake longer if the cream hasn’t thickened enough.
