Million Dollar Ravioli Casserole is a rich, creamy, and cheesy baked pasta dish made with layers of frozen ravioli, hearty meat sauce, and a luscious cream cheese mixture. It’s a comforting and easy dinner perfect for feeding a crowd.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara or pasta sauce
- 1 package (25 oz) frozen cheese ravioli
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup cottage cheese or ricotta
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef or sausage until browned. Drain excess fat and stir in pasta sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, and cottage cheese (or ricotta) until smooth.
- Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of the baking dish.
- Layer half of the frozen ravioli, followed by half of the cream cheese mixture, half of the meat sauce, and 1 cup of mozzarella.
- Repeat layers with remaining ravioli, cream cheese mixture, meat sauce, and top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let rest for 5-10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
- No need to thaw ravioli beforehand.
- Use ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
- This dish can be assembled ahead and refrigerated or frozen before baking.
