Description

Million Dollar Ravioli Casserole is a rich, creamy, and cheesy baked pasta dish made with layers of frozen ravioli, hearty meat sauce, and a luscious cream cheese mixture. It’s a comforting and easy dinner perfect for feeding a crowd.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara or pasta sauce
  • 1 package (25 oz) frozen cheese ravioli
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cottage cheese or ricotta
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef or sausage until browned. Drain excess fat and stir in pasta sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, and cottage cheese (or ricotta) until smooth.
  4. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of the baking dish.
  5. Layer half of the frozen ravioli, followed by half of the cream cheese mixture, half of the meat sauce, and 1 cup of mozzarella.
  6. Repeat layers with remaining ravioli, cream cheese mixture, meat sauce, and top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  8. Let rest for 5-10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • No need to thaw ravioli beforehand.
  • Use ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
