Description

A rich, smooth, and creamy chocolate fudge recipe passed down from home—perfect for gifting or satisfying a sweet craving.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper or foil, leaving an overhang for easy removal.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter.
  3. Stir constantly until mixture is fully melted and smooth.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
  5. Pour mixture into prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm.
  7. Once set, lift fudge from pan using overhanging parchment or foil and cut into squares.
  8. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or refrigerate for longer storage.

Notes

  • For added flair, gently press chopped nuts, dried fruit, or sea salt on top before chilling.
  • Use dark or milk chocolate chips for different flavor profiles.
  • If you prefer a glossier finish, melt everything gently using a double boiler to avoid scorching.
  • Bring fudge to room temperature before serving for the best texture.
