Description

A quick and easy one-pot spaghetti recipe that combines pasta, sauce, and seasonings all cooked together for a flavorful and mess-free meal.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 3 cups water or broth
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
  2. Add ground beef, salt, and pepper. Cook until beef is browned and cooked through.
  3. Stir in oregano and red pepper flakes.
  4. Add spaghetti, marinara sauce, and water. Stir to combine and bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is cooked and the liquid is mostly absorbed.
  6. Remove from heat, stir in Parmesan cheese if using.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Use broth instead of water for extra flavor.
  • Break spaghetti in half to fit more easily into the pot.
  • Add vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms for variety.
  • Can be made vegetarian by omitting meat and using vegetable broth.
