A quick and easy one-pot spaghetti recipe that combines pasta, sauce, and seasonings all cooked together for a flavorful and mess-free meal.
Ingredients
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 24 oz marinara sauce
- 3 cups water or broth
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
- Add ground beef, salt, and pepper. Cook until beef is browned and cooked through.
- Stir in oregano and red pepper flakes.
- Add spaghetti, marinara sauce, and water. Stir to combine and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is cooked and the liquid is mostly absorbed.
- Remove from heat, stir in Parmesan cheese if using.
- Garnish with fresh basil or parsley before serving.
Notes
- Use broth instead of water for extra flavor.
- Break spaghetti in half to fit more easily into the pot.
- Add vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms for variety.
- Can be made vegetarian by omitting meat and using vegetable broth.
