Description

Pepperoni Chicken is a flavorful and cheesy baked dish where tender chicken breasts are topped with marinara sauce, melty mozzarella, and crispy pepperoni slices—perfect for a quick and satisfying dinner.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup marinara or pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2024 slices pepperoni
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil.
  2. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Place chicken in the baking dish and bake for 20 minutes, uncovered.
  4. Remove from oven and spoon marinara sauce over each piece of chicken.
  5. Top with shredded mozzarella and arrange pepperoni slices over the cheese.
  6. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if using.
  7. Return to oven and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through (internal temp of 165°F/74°C) and cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley before serving.
