Description

A hearty and flavorful one-pan meal featuring seasoned ground beef, bell peppers, onions, and melty cheese, inspired by the classic Philly cheesesteak.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese (or mozzarella)
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced onions and bell peppers; sauté for 5-7 minutes until softened.
  3. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  5. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir to combine.
  7. Pour in beef broth and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  8. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the beef mixture, cover, and cook until cheese is melted, about 2-3 minutes.
  9. Garnish with parsley if desired and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use lean ground beef to reduce excess grease.
  • Provolone or mozzarella cheese works best for melt and flavor.
  • Can be served over rice, in a sandwich roll, or with roasted potatoes.
