A warm, cheesy dip inspired by the classic Philly cheesesteak, loaded with beef, peppers, onions, and gooey cheese—perfect for parties and game days.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1/2 pound thinly sliced ribeye steak or roast beef, chopped
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Baguette slices or tortilla chips for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and bell pepper, and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add chopped steak or roast beef to the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes until heated through. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Stir until smooth.
- Add cooked beef mixture, provolone, and mozzarella cheese to the bowl. Mix well to combine.
- Transfer the dip mixture to a baking dish and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
- Serve warm with baguette slices or tortilla chips.
Notes
- You can substitute provolone with cheddar or Swiss cheese if preferred.
- Make it ahead and refrigerate—just bake before serving.
- Use deli roast beef for a quicker version.
