Description

Pineapple Delight is a refreshing and creamy layered dessert featuring a buttery graham cracker crust, a smooth cream cheese layer, and a sweet pineapple topping. Perfect for summer gatherings or a light, fruity treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, well-drained
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press into the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish to form a crust. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Let cool completely.
  3. In a bowl, cream together softened butter, powdered sugar, and cream cheese until smooth and fluffy.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled crust.
  5. In another bowl, fold the drained crushed pineapple into the whipped topping.
  6. Spread the pineapple mixture over the cream cheese layer.
  7. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top, if using.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure pineapple is well-drained to prevent a soggy topping.
  • You can substitute homemade whipped cream for Cool Whip.
  • Use a glass dish for an attractive presentation of the layers.
