Description
A refreshing tropical twist on classic lemonade, combining fresh pineapple juice and tangy lemon for a delightful summer beverage.
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh pineapple chunks (about 1 small pineapple)
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–5 lemons)
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice cubes
- Pineapple or lemon slices, for garnish (optional)
- Fresh mint leaves, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a blender, puree the pineapple chunks until smooth.
- Strain the pineapple puree through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher, pressing to extract juice and discard pulp.
- Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice to the pitcher.
- Stir in granulated sugar until completely dissolved.
- Add 4 cups of cold water and stir to combine. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness as desired.
- Refrigerate until chilled, or serve immediately over ice.
- Garnish with pineapple or lemon slices and fresh mint leaves if desired.
Notes
- For a fizzy version, replace cold water with sparkling water just before serving.
- Adjust sugar based on sweetness of the pineapple.
- To make ahead, keep base juice chilled and add ice or sparkling water right before serving.
- Pulp can be used in smoothies or as a topping for yogurt or oatmeal.
