Description

A comforting twist on classic pizza, this Pizza Pot Pie combines gooey cheese, savory sauce, and your favorite toppings baked under a golden, flaky crust.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 pound Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough or pizza dough
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Cooking spray or butter (for greasing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease individual ramekins or a baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and sauté mushrooms, green peppers, and onions until soft, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add cooked sausage and pizza sauce to the skillet. Stir to combine and heat through.
  4. Distribute the meat and vegetable mixture evenly into the prepared ramekins or dish.
  5. Top each portion with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Unroll the dough and cut it into pieces to fit over each ramekin or lay it over the baking dish. Press to seal edges.
  7. Sprinkle with dried oregano.
  8. Bake for 15–20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • You can customize the filling with your favorite pizza toppings like pepperoni, olives, or spinach.
  • Use store-bought pizza dough for a more traditional crust.
  • Make it vegetarian by omitting sausage and adding more vegetables.
