A comforting twist on classic pizza, this Pizza Pot Pie combines gooey cheese, savory sauce, and your favorite toppings baked under a golden, flaky crust.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 pound Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough or pizza dough
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- Cooking spray or butter (for greasing)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease individual ramekins or a baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and sauté mushrooms, green peppers, and onions until soft, about 5 minutes.
- Add cooked sausage and pizza sauce to the skillet. Stir to combine and heat through.
- Distribute the meat and vegetable mixture evenly into the prepared ramekins or dish.
- Top each portion with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Unroll the dough and cut it into pieces to fit over each ramekin or lay it over the baking dish. Press to seal edges.
- Sprinkle with dried oregano.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and cooked through.
- Let cool slightly before serving.

- You can customize the filling with your favorite pizza toppings like pepperoni, olives, or spinach.
- Use store-bought pizza dough for a more traditional crust.
- Make it vegetarian by omitting sausage and adding more vegetables.
