- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while preheating.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness.
- Transfer the dough to a pizza peel or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
- Distribute the sliced mushrooms evenly on top of the cheese.
- Drizzle with olive oil and season with oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
- Slice and serve warm.
Notes
- Use a variety of mushrooms for more complex flavor.
- Pre-cook mushrooms if you prefer a softer texture.
- Add other toppings like onions or bell peppers for variation.
- For a crispier crust, bake directly on a pizza stone or steel.
