- 1 large loaf of crusty bread (sourdough or Italian)
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the bread into a crosshatch pattern, making sure not to cut all the way through the bottom.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Carefully spoon or brush the garlic butter mixture into the cuts of the bread.
- Stuff the shredded mozzarella and Parmesan into the crevices of the bread.
- Wrap the bread loosely in foil and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then unwrap and bake for another 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve hot and enjoy!

- Use fresh herbs for extra flavor.
- Try adding cooked bacon or chopped olives for variation.
- Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
