Ingredients
- 1 lb ground breakfast sausage
- 10 large eggs
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Butter or cooking spray for greasing
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and crumbled. Drain excess fat and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in the cooked sausage, shredded cheddar, mozzarella, and green onions into the egg mixture.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
- Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- This casserole can be made ahead and refrigerated overnight.
- Use spicy sausage for an extra kick.
