- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1 packet au jus gravy mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup sliced pepperoncini peppers (with a bit of juice)
- 8 hamburger buns
- Optional: sliced cheese for serving
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Transfer the cooked beef to a slow cooker.
- Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix and au jus gravy mix over the beef.
- Add the butter and pepperoncini peppers (with some juice for extra flavor).
- Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2-3 hours.
- Stir the mixture to combine well before serving.
- Serve the sloppy joe mixture on hamburger buns. Add sliced cheese if desired.
Notes
- Use lean ground beef to reduce grease.
